Work plan

The following tasks of the enviDMS Project have been completed in 2013:

  1. Project Team was established, with the following members: project manager, a position responsible for project implementation, a position responsible for public contracts, position for payment of salaries;
  2. Project management concerning administrative and financial works;
  3. Implementation of factual issues of the Project has begun;
  4. Hardware and software for the requirements of the Project Team have been purchased;
  5. Visual identification of the Project has been established, including the registration of the identity handbook;
  6. Inaugural conference of the Project was held on 23th October 2013, at the Sala Kinowa in the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development;
  7. Website of the Project has been launched;
  8. Promotional and informational products of the Project have been ordered;
  9. Promotional and informational Project activities have been carried out during the following events:
    1. XXVI International Cartographic Conference, Dresden, Germany (poster presentation),
    2. VI Polish National Seminar „Modeling of geographic information for the construction of infrastructure for spatial information, Warsaw, Poland,
    3. XXXVI Polish National Cartographic Conference "Efficiency of cartographic presentation", Warsaw, Poland (oral presentation and Project roll up stand),
    4. XXIII Conference of The Polish Association for Spatial Information (PASI) „Spatial Information Infrastructure as a Tool to Develop Information Society”, Warsaw, Poland (Project roll up stand and leaflets distributed about the Project),
    5. Conference „GIS at Warsaw Capital City” (Project roll up stand).

The following tasks of the enviDMS Project have been completed in 2014:

  1. Project Team has been expanded by a new position - Information Technology;
  2. Continuation of administrative and financial work on Project management;
  3. Carrying out essential work associated with:
    1. creation of a spatial database model,
    2. harmonization, integration and standardization of the database and digital version of hydrographic maps,
    3. development of a spatial data management system,
    4. transformation of existing and the collection of new spatial data regarding the natural environment in the aspect of thematic cartographic elaborations, such as hydrographic maps,
    5. sharing digital hydrographic maps using spatial data services;
  4. Hardware and software required by the Project Team have been purchased;
  5. Promotional and informational activities during the following events:
    1. XXXVII Polish National Cartographic Conference, Torun, Poland (Project roll up stand and leaflets distributed about the Project),
    2. XXIV Conference of The Polish Association for Spatial Information (PASI), Warsaw, Poland (Project roll up stand, and leaflets distribution about the Project).

The following tasks of the enviDMS Project have been completed in 2015:

  1. Continuation of administrative and financial work regarding Project management;
  2. Continuation of work associated with:
    1. creation of a spatial database model,
    2. harmonization, integration and standardization of the database and digital version of hydrographic maps,
    3. preparation of The Technical Guidelines database model for HYDRO10k and HYDRO50k, and new technical standards for cartographic hydrographic elaborations KARTOH10k and KARTOH50k,
    4. translation of the The Technical Guidelines and standards into English,
    5. development of the National Topographic Objects Database Management System (KSZBDOT) in terms of functionalities connected with hydrographic products management,
    6. production and verification of The Hydrographic Map of Poland at the scale of 1:10 000 and 1:50 000, in the form of a digital map;
  3. Hardware and software for the expansion of the Project’s server infrastructure have been purchased;
  4. Technical support service and conservation dedicated for Oracle have been purchased;
  5. Project promotional products have been ordered;
  6. A Thematic Seminar regarding hydrographic databases and digital hydrographic maps has been organized;
  7. Carrying out promotional and informational activities during the following events:
    1. Academy of Cartography, Wroclaw, Poland (Project roll up stand),
    2. „Map Days”, Main Center for Geodesic and Cartographic Documentation, Warsaw, Poland (Project promotion and information stand),
    3. 27th International Cartographic Conference, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (conference speech),
    4. Final Conference summarizing the First Phase of the Projects: GBDOT, Geoportal 2,
      Teryt 3, ZSIN, provided by the Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography, Warsaw, Poland (Project promotion and information stand),
    5. XXXVIII Polish National Cartographic Conference, Warsaw, Poland (conference speech, Project promotion and information stand and leaflets distributed about the Project),
    6. Conference „The environment of Information 2015” Warsaw, Poland (Project promotion and information stand and leaflets distributed about the Project).

The following tasks of the enviDMS Project have been completed in 2016:

  1. Continuation of administrative and financial work regarding Project management;
  2. Carrying out essential work associated with:
    1. verification of spatial database models HYDRO10k and HYDRO50k, digital cartographic hydrographic elaborations KARTOH10k and KARTOH50k and principles of harmonization, integration and standardization of the database,
    2. development of the National Topographic Objects Database Management System  (KSZBDOT) in terms of functionalities connected with spatial information on the natural environment in the form of cartographic elaborations and management (hydrographic products),
    3. production of The Hydrographic Map of Poland at the scale of 1:10 000 and 1:50 000, in the form of a digital map,
    4. the quality control of cartographic elaborations in the form of digital hydrographic maps at the scale of 1:10 000 and 1:50 000,
    5. sharing digital hydrographic maps using spatial data services;
  3. Carrying out promotional and informational activities during the following events:
    1. XXXIX Polish National Cartographic Conference, Zwierzyniec, Poland (information stand, Project roll up stand and poster presentation).

The following tasks of the enviDMS Project have been completed in 2017:

  1. Continuation of administrative and financial work regarding Project management;
  2. Carrying out essential work associated with:
    1. development of the National Topographic Objects Database Management System  (KSZBDOT) in terms of functionalities connected with spatial information on the natural environment in the form of cartographic elaborations and management (hydrographic products),
    2. organizing and conducting  training and identification of the "Best Practices" how to use cartographic elaborations in the form of digital hydrographic maps as part of the Project,
    3. sharing digital hydrographic maps using spatial data services;
  3. Project promotion and information products have been ordered;
  4. Ending conference of the Project was held on 28th of March, 2017, at the Jana Pawła II hotel in Wroclaw;
  5. Carrying out promotional and informational activities during the 28th International Cartographic Conference, Washington, USA (poster presentation).
